A civic engagement project
Fair Richardson is a nonpartisan civic project that creates tools, research, and makes information more accessible to help residents and leaders better understand their community and make more informed decisions.
Our Mission
The records that shape Richardson — zoning cases, council agendas, budgets, studies — are technically public, but they live in scattered portals, dense PDFs, and legal notices most residents don't have time to find or decode.
Fair Richardson exists to close that gap. We collect the data, translate it into plain language, and present it in formats people can actually use — searchable trackers, timely alerts, and clear reports — so residents can engage earlier and more effectively.
Our focus is not on political parties or candidates. It's on accessible information, usable data, constructive participation, and the quality of life in Richardson.
What We Do
Important city decisions often begin long before most residents hear about them. We collect the public records as they're posted and surface what's coming — while there's still time to weigh in.
Zoning requests, ordinance updates, taxes, development, and planning all affect daily life. We translate the documents into plain language and present the data clearly, without the jargon.
An informed public asks better questions and offers better comments. We help you know when, where, and how to make your voice heard.
An independent tracker for zoning and special-permit requests in Richardson. Follow cases, understand what's being requested, and get alerts before public hearings and decisions.
It's the first concrete proof of what Fair Richardson does: turn the city's process into something a resident can actually follow — in plain language, on your schedule.
An independent study of commercial drone activity over Richardson. We collect drone telemetry data and turn it into clear reports on where, when, and how often drones are flying overhead.
The goal is insight residents and city leaders can actually use — a real picture of local drone traffic that can inform sensible regulatory decisions as this airspace gets busier.
Every City Council decision, tracked from first posting to final vote. Agendas translated into plain English, durable pages for every item, and outcomes filled in from the approved minutes.
Subscribe to the council digest and get each agenda in your inbox the day it posts — public hearings first, with a link to follow every item through the process.
What's Next
Zoning Watch, CouncilTrac, and the Drone Traffic Study are just the start. Fair Richardson will keep making the data behind Richardson's biggest local issues accessible and usable.
Our Commitment
Fair Richardson does not raise money for candidates, endorse campaigns, or operate as a political action committee. Our work is focused on making public information accessible, building useful civic tools, and constructive community engagement.
The goal is simple: accessible information, better participation, and a stronger Richardson.
